Privacy notice
Datenschutzerklärung
You can use everything on Event Radar without an account. The page sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising. This notice says which personal data is processed anyway, by whom and why.
Who is responsible
The controller (Verantwortlicher, the person responsible under the GDPR) is:

When you open the page
Hosting: Cloudflare
The page is served by Cloudflare Pages. Every request your browser makes carries your IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the page you came from, and your browser's identification. Cloudflare needs these to deliver the page and to protect it against attacks. Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) processes them on my behalf; I do not receive these logs. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which covers the transfer to the USA (Art. 45 GDPR). Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in delivering the page securely.
Event data: Supabase
Your browser loads the events and organisations from a database run by Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany. These requests carry your IP address and your browser's identification, and Supabase keeps them in its request logs for one day. Supabase Pte. Ltd. processes them on my behalf under its data processing agreement; where it uses providers outside the EU, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Supabase's privacy policy.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in showing the radar.
Event cover pictures
Some events show a cover picture that your browser loads directly from the organiser's or ticket platform's server, for example Luma, Eventbrite or a university's website. That server receives your IP address and your browser's identification; the page tells your browser not to send which page you were on. Each of these operators is responsible for what it does with the request.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in showing each event the way its organiser presents it.
Fonts, scripts and links
Fonts, scripts and the banner photo come from this site itself, not from Google Fonts or another third-party server. Links to organisers and registration pages take you to those sites, where their own privacy policies apply.
If you log in
Logging in is optional. It lets you keep your own applied, registered or skipped status on events and suggest organisations for the radar. There are two ways to log in, Google and GitHub; there are no passwords and no email login.
At Google or GitHub
When you choose "Continue with Google" or "Continue with GitHub", you sign in on their site, and they ask whether to share your name, email address and profile picture with the radar. What they process there is their own responsibility: Google Ireland Limited and GitHub.
What is stored
Your account lives in Supabase's authentication service, in the same Frankfurt database:
| What | Data |
|---|---|
| Your account | Email address, name, the address of your profile picture, the provider (Google or GitHub) and your account ID there, your GitHub user name, when you signed up and last logged in |
| Your login sessions | The IP address and browser identification of each session, and a log of logins and logouts with the IP address |
| What you do here | Your status on each event you marked, and the organisations you suggested (their web address and name) with their progress |
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, providing the account features you asked for; for the session IP addresses and browser identification, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in keeping accounts secure.
Only I, as the operator, and Supabase, on my behalf, can see this data. Other users never see your email address or your statuses. Once I approve an organisation you suggested, automated jobs on GitHub Actions fetch and summarise its public pages, using an AI model through OpenRouter; they work with the organisation's pages, not with your account.
How long it is kept
As long as your account exists. To delete it, email me from the address you logged in with: I then delete your account with your statuses, sessions and login log. Organisations you suggested stay on the radar, no longer linked to you.
What the page keeps in your browser
The page keeps a few entries in your browser's local storage. None is read by anyone else, and none is used for tracking.
| Entry | Holds | Kept |
|---|---|---|
radar.theme | Your light or dark choice | Until you clear it |
radar.filters, radar.orgFilters | Your search and filter settings | Until you clear them |
radar.afterLogin | Where to return after logging in | Until the login returns, in this tab only |
sb-…-auth-token | Your login session | Until you log out |
Legal basis: § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG; these entries are strictly necessary for features you use.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17), to restrict its processing (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Email me at alialp@live.com.
You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one responsible for me: Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Postfach 1349, 91504 Ansbach, www.lda.bayern.de.
